BASIC CRITERIA TO JOIN PAKISTAN AIR FORCE AS AN AERO TRADES / AERO TECHNICIANS / AERO SUPPORTS (AIRMAN UNIFORMED PERSONNEL, PAF)
Requirements for joining PAF as Aero Trades / Aero Technicians

| Marital Status | Unmarried |
| Age | 15 ½ – 10 years (One year age relation is also applicable as per PAF Induction Policy) |
| Height | Minimum 163 cm– maximum188 cm (Minimum height is required 5 ft-4 Inches) |
| Educational Qualification | Matric qualified with Elective Science having passed with 60% marks overall and 47% marks (70 or above out of 150) in English subject. |
Criteria for Candidates applying from the approved Rural Areas of Pakistan
- Nationality: Male Pakistan Nationals
- Marital Status: Unmarried
- Age: 15 years 06 months to 22 years including 1 year age relation in upper age limit.
- Height: 163 cm
- Educational Qualification
- Matric Qualified with Elective Science having 60% marks in aggregate and 47% marks (70 or above out of 150) in English subject of Matric Class.
- Candidates are eligible only for Aero Trades pay scale ‘A’.
- However, candidates may be registered and tested as Aero Support that has passed with a star in only one out of the remaining subjects (Biology, Urdu, Pak Studies, Islamic Studies etc).
- Matric qualified candidates are eligible for registeration in Aero Trades / Aero Technicians / Aero Supports only from approved rural areas who have scored 50% aggregate marks and 33% marks in English subjects.
Criteria for Balochi / KPK / FATA Domiciled areas Candidates
Balochi domiciled candidates can apply for all categories of airmen belonging to the entire Balochistan Province and holding 45% marks in Matric and 33% marks in English subjects.
Selection Procedure
- Firstly, Candidates have to pass the initial preliminary intelligence and academic MCQs based test.
- Secondly, applicants will go through medical tests.
- The final decision will be taken by PAF Selection Board convened at PAF Air Headquarters, Peshawar (Dte of HRI).
