You can also register yourself by visiting your nearest Army Selection and Recruitment Center (AS&RCs).
You will receive an email from the Pak Army informing you about your test date, time, and roll number.

Once you pass all the academic & initial tests. You will receive Congratulation message!. Moreover, you will be Welcomed to Pakistan Army and later on you will be sent for training at PMA Kakul, Abbot Abad.

Eligibility Criteria for Direct Short Service Commission in Pakistan Army

Physical Standards

Minimum Height > 5’-4″ (162.5 cm)
Weight > As per Body Mass Index

Academic Conditions

In science subjects, a minimum score of 60% in the annual system or 2.5 CGPA is required, and in arts subjects, a minimum score of 50% or 2.0 CGPA is required.
In the case of law and psychology, CGPA must be at least 2 out of 4 or 50%.
Throughout the academic career (MA/MSc/ BS), there will be no third division of Grade D and only one second division of Grade C.
Preference will be given to MPhil/ MS/ PhD candidates.
Applicants should have graduated from HEC-recognized institutions or from foreign institutions recognized by HEC.
Candidates must be regular students from matriculation through MA/MSc/BS
Private candidates are not eligible.

- DVM or equivalent degree registered with PVMC
- MSc (Hons) / M Phil (In relevant disciplines) will be given preference

Selection Process

To Join Pak Army As a Captain, you need to pass the following stages:

The first step is to register yourself. There are two ways to register. The candidates are required to register online from the website joinpakarmy.gov.pk or from the below link:

Secondly, visit the nearest Army Selection and Recruitment Center(AS&RCs), and get yourself registered.

The candidates who want to register at AS&RCs should carry the following documents along with him:
- Must have original Documents with two sets of attested photocopies of academic certificates / degrees / diplomas.
- Serving applicants should have NOC from the related department.
- Attested photocopy of domicile.
- Photocopies of computerized NIC (National Identity Card).
- 6 x colored photos properly attested (front & back).
- Candidates must have their degrees justly verified by HEC / PEC.

Written / Intelligence / Personality / Psychological Tests

Army Selection and Recruitment Centers will conduct academic and intelligence tests based on multiple choice questions on the date specified by the computer. The academic tests will be conducted on the due date / time given after the successful completion of registration process as per criteria of Pakistan Army Commissioned Officers selected through DSSC pre-requisites.

Preliminary Medical Tests

Candidates will go through initial medical tests at AS&RCs for their fitness for commissioning in Pakistan Army.

Further Selection

Selected candidates by AS&RCs will be called for interview by GHQ Selection Board at Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Karachi.

The medical examination of all selected candidates will be carried out / conducted at nearby CMH for Medical fitness of the candidates. The final selection will be done / made at PA Directorate GHQ, Rawalpindi on the basis of the candidates’ overall performance in the selection tests / interviews.

Basic Military & Professional Training

There are two kinds of training are conducted for PMA short course candidates:

Twenty-two weeks Basic Military Training (BMT) at AMC School & Centre, Abbottabad for males (GDMOs and Specialist Doctors).
Twenty-two weeks of Basic Military Training (BMT) at AFPGMI Rawalpindi for females (GDMOs / Specialists).

• Prerequisites

• Minimum 60 % marks in annual system or 2.5 CGPA in science subjects and 50% marks or 2.0 CGPA in Arts subjects from HEC recognized university as a regular student

• Minimum CGPA 2 out of 4 or 50 % marks in annual system for law offr & Pshchology

• No 3^rd division of grade D and only one 2^nd division / Grade C throughout the academic career i.e Matric to MA/MSC /BS

• M Phil /MS/PhD/will be given preference

• Candidate can only graduated from HEC recognized universities or foreign universities recognized by HEC are eligible

• Candidates must have attained the entire education (Matric till MA/MSc/BS) as a regular students

IN-ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS

• A candidate who has been twice not recommended by inter service Selection Board for Pakistan Military Academy /Graduate Course or equivalent Naval / Pakistan Air Force Courses, however, third chance to appear for commission in AEC is given

• Permanently declared unfit by appeal Medical board

• Declared medically unfit due to Hepatitis B&C ( Appeal Medical Board cannot be requested )

• Declared unfit by any armed forces hospital except those cleard by appeal medical board . However , Pakistan Air Force Candidates who get medically unfit for flying but fit for ground branches can undergo routine medical examination as normal candidates if they are desirous to join other arms

• Tested with in four months (120 days ) gap of previous appearance in Inter Service Board except candidates granted waiver by director general personal administration (DGPA) However, bar of 120 days will not be applicable to candidates appearing is post graduate general headquarters / naval headquarters / air headquarters based selection boards.

• Withdrawn from any Academy / Training institution on disciplinary grounds.

• Withdrawn from any bonded armed forces college / institution on disciplinary ground.

• Dismissed / removed / debarred from govt services including armed forces

• Convicted in a court of law in criminal proceedings

REGISTRATION AND PRELIMINARY SELECTION PROCESS

• Registration through internet candidates can register either through internet or by visiting Army Selection and Recruitment Centers (AS&RCs). Following procedure will be adopted:-

• Registration through internet Candidates can register on websites www.joinpakarmy.gov.pk Date and time of test shall be intimated on internet for which the individual should have an e-mail account. Candidates will report on exact date and time given for preliminary test on computerized roll number slip. Date once given will not be changed candidates will also bring along all documents (mentioned in advertisement) and will pay prospectus fee on the day of test candidates must attain working knowledge of computer as registration and tests will be conducted on computers.

Candidates may report at nearest army selection and recruitment centers for registration / allotment of roll number along with necessary documents (mentioned in advertisement) and the prospectus fee for completion of registration formalities. • Academics / Intelligence tests: Academics / Intelligence tests based on multiple choice question will be conducted at army selection and recruitment centers on the date given by the computer during the registration process.

• Preliminary medical test : candidates will undergo initial medical test at AS&RCs

• Physical test: the candidates must qualify the following physical standards at the time of preliminary selection

• 1.6KM running : 9 minutes

• Push ups : 10 repetitions in 2 minutes

• Sit ups : 10 repetitions in 2 minutes

• Chin ups : 2 repetitions in 2 minutes

FURTHER SELECTION PROCEDURE

Detailed medical examination of candidates recommended by inter service selection board will be carried out at nearby combined military hospitals candidates who are recommended by inter service selection board will be called for interview by general headquarters selection board. No travelling allowance / daily allowance is admissible final selection will be made at general headquarters (GHQ) on the basis of candidates, overall performance.

• Military training: 6 month at Pakistan military academy (PMA) KAKUL

Documents Required

• Documents Required: candidates will deposit following documents with army selection and recruitment centres (AS&RCs)

• Original certificate /detailed marks sheets along with two attested photocopies of each educational certificate /degree / diploma

• Candidates serving in government institutions/ departments will render no objection certificate of the concerned establishment

• Attested photocopy of domicile

• Photocopies of computerized National identity card alond with verification slip obtained by NADRA

• 6x colored photos duly attested (front &back )

• Candidates must bring their degrees duly verified by HEC / PVMC

• Endorsement application forms: while filling the application form by successfully candidates at selection and recruitment centres , must ensure that information be endorsed in the respective paragraph / column should be left blank.

• Notes. Expired National identity card will not be accepted

Additional information

• Bond : finally selected candidates will be required to sign a bond to serve the Army for a minimum period of 7 years the applicability of bond will commence on successful completion of basic military training at Pakistan Military Academy Kabul
