Age Requirements for 158 PMA Long Course

Basic Criteria of 158 PMA Long Course

Candidate Category	Academic Prerequisites & Minimum Marks
Standard Candidates	At least 60% marks in FA/FSc or equivalent.
Graduates	Candidates with 60% marks or above in BA/BSc/BS/BBA (with 50% marks in FA/FSc) are eligible.
Relaxation of Marks	A reduced requirement of 55% marks for candidates from specified areas (Balochistan, FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan, District Neelum AK, Kohistan, Chitral, Dir, Tehsil Balakot, Tharparkar, Tehsil Umer Kot, Cholistan Desert, etc.), provided they are domicile holders.
Serving Soldiers	50% marks in FA/FSc or equivalent.
Hope Certificate	Candidates who passed FSc Part-I with 60% marks and are awaiting Part-II results can apply with a "Hope Certificate" from their institution head.
A-Level Candidates	Must have an aggregate of 60% marks (Equivalence by IBCC). Results from abroad or less than three Cs require an IBCC equivalence certificate.

Ineligibility Conditions: Who Cannot Apply?

You will be considered ineligible for the PMA 158 Long Course if you meet any of the following criteria:

ISSB Rejections: Twice rejected by the Inter Services Selection Board (ISSB).
Initial Test Failures: Thrice failed in Initial Tests (Intelligence/Academic).
Gap Period: Tested within 120 days (4 months) of a previous ISSB appearance (unless a waiver is granted).
Service Record: Dismissed, removed, or debarred from Government Service, including the Armed Forces.
Criminal History: Convicted in a Court of Law for any heinous offense.
Medical Status: Permanently declared UNFIT by the Appeal Medical Board (PUF by AMB) or declared unfit due to Hepatitis B & C.
Disciplinary Action: Withdrawn from any bonded Armed Forces college/institution on disciplinary grounds.
Drug Testing: Tested positive for drugs at CMH, Military Hospitals, or AFIP.

Important Note: Coaching for ISSB tests is strictly discouraged. Any candidate found to have been trained in a private coaching center will be considered ineligible for all types of commissions.

PMA Long Course 2025 Syllabus and Exam Pattern

The syllabus for the PMA Long Course is designed to test the candidate’s knowledge and skills in various subjects, including English, mathematics, physics, chemistry, and general knowledge. The exam pattern consists of a written test, a medical test, and an interview.

You can register online or visit the nearest AS&RC in cities including Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, Gilgit, Hyderabad, Multan, D.I. Khan, Muzaffarabad, Faisalabad, Khuzdar, Pano Aqil, and Turbat.

Original Certificate/Detailed Marks Sheet (Matric/FA/FSc).
CNIC (for 18+ years) or Computerized Form "B" with Guardian’s CNIC.
One set of attested photocopies of the above documents.
3x Passport size colored photos (attested front and back).
Original and one photocopy of the "NOT RECOMMENDED" letter (for Repeater Candidates).
